Paco is settling beautifully into his new home here with us at APROP, and it’s easy to see why all the volunteers at the perrera in Albaida adored him. What a sweetheart he is. He loves everyone, and everyone loves him right back.
His favourite thing in the world is going for walks — tail held high, soaking up every moment and clearly delighting in the companionship.
Despite the cruel mutilation of his ears, Paco holds no malice. If anything, it adds another layer to his remarkable character: a dog who walks through life with his head held high, full of trust and quiet dignity.

Today we welcomed Paco from the perrera at Albaida. He first caught our attention many months ago when we saw his picture, our first thoughts being what the hell are we seeing !!!
A Podenco with cropped, mutilated ears is not something we had ever seen before. The summer came and with a shortage of volunteers we couldn’t take him. Every time we had a breather another litter of puppies or more dogs would come and need caring for.
This week we decided that it was Christmas and time for Paco to join the APROP family. We knew that his life in the perrera was not going well and he needed out.
So welcome dear Paco, take all the time you want to relax, with us you are going to get that little extra freedom that you desperately need
