ABOUT

Oscar is an elderly ginger gentleman, who is aged around 16 years. His estimated date of birth is around June 2010. He was rescued from the countryside where he was on his own. He received food, but rarely had any company. He once had a family but, they did not want him in the home. He is a very friendly and talkative old man, who wants nothing more than his own human to entertain and look after him.

Over the years, Oscar has obviously found ways of entertaining himself, and finding extra food. He was spotted at a colony, and it was noticed he was very malnourished. His family decided to sign him over to APROP. He has clearly not been badly treated, as he loves people and always wants cuddles. Since arriving at APROP, he has put on some weight and, with regular grooming, his coat is improving by the day. Oscar also loves treats. As his teeth are no longer the best, he needs soft food only.

We suspect that Oscar’s kidneys are impacted, which is very common for cats of his age. Unfortunately, he is not suitable to undergo an anaesthetic, so we will leave him to be as happy as he can, for as long as he can. In view of these health issues, we assume that Oscar is pretty much unadoptable, but we are seeking a foster home for him. He deserves to spend his remaining years in a warm home with his own human whose love, attention and care he will return a thousand fold. Not to mention, he will entertain you with his stories, as he loves to talk! Oscar is a laid back old man, who truly deserves the best for his golden years. He is already a favourite with all the APROP volunteers. We are sure someone somewhere is going to fall in love with him.

Oscar is neutered, chipped and vaccinated and is ready to go to his forever home.
