Cat care volunteer

We are a multinational group of people. A team of volunteers goes in for 2-3 hours each morning (or occasionally in the afternoon if they can’t manage the mornings).  We try to have at least three people in each shift if we can: two to feed the cats and clean and one to groom and socialise the cats. 

Ideally we would like to have volunteers who can come every week on the same morning if possible as this makes organising the rotas easier, but if you can only come sporadically or around other commitments, we will still be very happy to hear from you.

Some volunteers like to take on additional duties such as checking inventory for weekly supplies, posting on Facebook, helping with adoptions, fundraising, vet  visits or afternoon feeds for kittens, but this is discretionary.

The video made by one of our volunteers, Nerea, last year will give you a pretty good idea of what is involved if you would like to volunteer as a cleaner at the Aprop cat shelter. NOTE this video was made before the shelter was refurbished.

We always welcome new volunteers and are flexible in when you can come and what you would like to do.
